I have just recently been researching and infact they are banned in the UK D:< I mean seriously I watched a program called panorama and the police were going round in swats looking through peoples house at early hours in the morning and ceasing the dogs and if they match a Pit Bull profile they get culled no questions asked and they dont even care if the dog is freindly or lovely and they dont care for the owners sorrow This place makes me sick sometimes!!!!

I know right there is people getting murdered but instead they decide a so called "vicious" dog is more important

The way the US is going, they will be banned here too. It was the British + Irish that created the APBT, the origins of the dog.
A dog only has to match characteristics of a pit/bully breed and they are taken to be PTS (If the state has a ban) - Labs, Rhodeshian Ridgebacks, AmStaff, the Staffordshire terrier, American Bully. ect are always mistaken for them too.

I know I hate this damn place, I am thinking of getting a bull terrier since over here due to some club I think they are protected and they cant be accused of being vicious because of this protection thing not sure I was talking to a person at a bull terrier show when I went to Devon, this lady told me that she and others of the club are trying to get others involved to help other breeds not sure how its going though she gave me a flyer but I cant remember what I did with it but it was a good atmosphere to see other bullies there and other breeds of dog related and none where bad we had the RSPCA and the police around for "Safety" Reasons.

I love bull terriers. Thats ridiculous! "Security reaons" ... Why don't have them at all dog shows? Or do they in the UK? - Even a good-hearted event has to be discriminated against - That's good, shame they didn't have that when the apbt was banned or the Dogo Argentino.. Hmm,
